Welcome Center for the

Statesboro Convention & Visitors Bureau

This project was an adaptive re-use of an abandoned restaurant that had been occupied by a national restaurant chain. The building had been vacant for over three years and needed serious renovation work and an overhaul of the building’s interior. However, through the creative vision and imagination of the owner and architect, the abandoned space was brought back to life.
The 5,000 sq ft welcome/convention center features exposed wood beams and stone accents throughout that embrace the southern lifestyle with a classy rustic charm. The SCVB Welcome Center has also added considerable curb appeal to the main thoroughfare of historic downtown Statesboro, Georgia.
